Revela Privacy Policy

Key Point: Revela does not collect, store outside your device or transmit any personal data. It has no servers, accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Revela ("the Application", "we", "our") handles information when you use it on iPhone, iPad or Mac. Revela shows what takes up space in your Photos library, finds similar photos and converts Live Photos into still photos.
This policy covers the Revela app only. This website is covered by our main Privacy Policy.

3. Access to Your Photos Library
With your permission, Revela reads your Photos library on your device to:
- count items and their file sizes by media type;
- check whether originals are stored on the device or only in iCloud;
- compare small previews of photos to find similar shots;
- show, export, convert or delete an item when you ask it to.
All of this happens on your device. Photos, videos and their metadata are never sent to us or to anyone else. You can change or revoke access at any time in your device's privacy settings.
4. Data Stored on Your Device
To open quickly, Revela keeps a local cache inside its own app container: a list of library items with their sizes and media types, and compact image descriptors used to find similar photos. This cache never leaves your device, is excluded from device backups and is removed when you delete the Application.
5. Changes to Your Library
Revela only changes your library when you explicitly ask it to (delete an item, or convert a Live Photo into a still). Every such change is confirmed by the operating system's own dialog, and removed items go to Recently Deleted in Photos, where they can be restored for 30 days.
6. Network Use
Revela makes no network requests of its own. When you view or export an item whose original is stored only in iCloud, Apple's Photos framework downloads it from your iCloud account, under Apple's privacy policy. When you export or share a file, it goes only where you choose to send it.
7. Children
Revela does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
8. Your Rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at the address above or via the contact form.

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be announced on this page before they apply.
